OES Hosts Next Level Summer Camp

2010 SESSION

July 12—16

9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Grades 8 – 10

Cost:  $150

CAMP DIRECTOR

Dennis Sullivan is the Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach at OES. A former All American defenseman at Brown University, Coach Sullivan also played professional lacrosse for the New Jersey Pride. During his 10 years of high school coaching, he has coached in 8 state championship games and has earned High School Coach of the Year honors in New Jersey and Oregon. Coach Sullivan also teaches 8th grade Humanities and serves as the Assistant Athletic Director.

GAME PLAN

Players will increase their understanding and speed of the game. Highlights of the week will include:

  • College-level drills
  • Controlled scrimmages
  • Intensive and competitive instruction

Players need their own equipment: stick, gloves, helmet, pads, cup and mouthpiece.

Please bring a snack and water bottle. Remember: OES is a No Nut Zone!

Enrollment is limited to 65 participants. Registration can be done online. Please be sure to fill in the medical and contact information. Payment may be made by credit card or e-check. Players will learn techniques in:

  • Shooting
  • Dodging
  • Stick skills
  • Defense
  • Team strategy

The week will include drills, small-sided games, and full field competition.

Players need their own equipment: stick, gloves, helmet, pads, cup and mouthpiece. A limited number of helmets and pads are available to use.
